There are two hands-on activities that I like and children enjoy them as they learn about the seasons in Chinese.
This sorting activity from Buggy and Buddy is wonderful for teaching seasons to young learners. Decorating the pebbles and rocks can lead to a good conversation about colors and seasons.
Sorting the rocks can help children learn about the change of colors of nature, the activities they enjoy for each season and the things they see around them around the year.
The four seasons tree craft from Easy Peasy and Fun is another fun activity to do when introducing seasons in Chinese. This project works well with both young and older kids.
There is a template for this project so it is easy. Make sure you add the seasons in Chinese to the design.
As you work on this activity with children they can try different art media to decorate the tree for each season. Place the Chinese season words on the table for kids as a visual tool so they can copy or trace to the design.
