    • ages 0-5

    • ages 6-8

    • ages 9-12

  • Chinese-English bilingual books: These are books you can read with young children and older kids.

  • English culture books: From the Nian Monster to The Great Wall of Lucy Wu, these books are good reads for everyone.

  • Middle School-High School, novice mid-intermediate books:  Great recommendation from fellow Chinese teachers.

  • Multicultural Books:  Bringing diversity to your home and experience the cultures around the world through books.

Set a time to read with your children during the summer in Chinese and another target language.  Keep the kids reading and improving their language skills when school is out.  Reading can keep the “summer slide” away and reading opens up children’s world.

Read in different languages!  Reading is multilingual if you have more than one language at home.

Read multicultural books!  Traveling with books is like exploring the world and getting to know more interesting people.

Open a book and read with a curious mind!  Look at the pictures.  Spot the words or characters.  Be playful!
