Award-winning children’s book author Michele Mcavoy leads you into the action-packed, fun-loving, passion- and enthusiasm-filled story of two friends with a voice that let kids see the possibilities in them. The author skillfully shows the readers what they can find in friends who are just as unique as themselves. And, they can learn from them and explore with them together.

The simple yet powerful narrative style of COOKIE & MILK: A SCIENTIFICALLY STUNT-TASTIC SISTERHOOD illustrated by Jessica Gibson has a captivating effect. The illustrations brilliantly depict the characters, their scientific endeavors, and the importance of sisterhood.

Highlights In The Story

This is a delightful tale of sisterhood that celebrates the bond of two precocious sisters as they explore science together. Through the story of Cookie and Milk’s scientific exploits, author Michele McAvoy delivers a positive message of the value of promoting multiculturalism and diversity.

While limited in containing real science facts, the book introduces simple ideas that can create curiosity about science. Cookie & Milk is great for helping young readers feel positive about who they are, and understand that everyone is unique.

COOKIE & MILK: A SCIENTIFICALLY STUNT-TASTIC SISTERHOOD is a diverse children’s book for young readers, parents, and teachers. It breaks the stereotype of gender to show girls the possibilities of a future career in science. It delivers positive messages of acceptance and sisterhood that kids could learn from

In addition, there is a DID YOU KNOW? section with eight female scientists and their achievements listed. This can help readers to see their future selves. Furthermore, there is also an introduction to the five “S” WORDS THAT MAKE A BEST FRIEND. These words are showing kids what they can practice and become good and trusted friends.
