With the background knowledge of the stories, it is fun for kids to listen to the stories they are familiar with in the target language, Chinese.

Here is a beloved classic children’s board book by Eric Carl. It starts with a tiny egg on a leaf and it leads to the life cycle of a butterfly. Here is another classic story for kids. I find this book a great read for kids before bedtime and before a nap. This is the book that my boy enjoyed very much when he was a baby. This is another Eric Carl’s book. I love to read this book to my young students because it has an interactive element in the story. Kids will learn color words. Good Night Gorilla
Kids love animals but time for bed usually takes some time for them. Let’s say good night to the animals with the zookeeper. Are all the animals going to bed right away? This is such a fun story.
